Reports on Capacity Building

4th March, 2016, New Delhi

A field day cum capacity building programme , “Soil test and target yield approach for increased crop productivity” under Transfer of Technology programme of ICAR-AICRP on Soil Test Crop Response was organized on 7th March, 2016 at Ngairangbam village of Haorang Sabal Block, Imphal West district, Manipur. The programme was organized to popularize the importance of soil test based fertilizer application for improved crop productivity among tribal farmers.

8 -17 ^th February, 2016,  Hisar

International Workshop on ‘Surveillance and Diagnosis of Glanders’ was organized at ICAR-National Research Centre on Equines, Hisar from 8-17 February 2016.

Aim of the workshop was to provide hands on training in the area of serological diagnosis of glanders like complement fixation test and indirect ELISA and to build network among glanders endemic countries for surveillance of glanders.

15 -16^th  March 2016 Bhopal

Two-Day National Symposium on Disability, Assistive Technology and Farming in India was organized at ICAR-Central Institute of Agricultural Engineering, Bhopal.  The symposium was organized jointly by Society for Disability and Rehabilitation Studies (New Delhi) and the ICAR-CIAE (Bhopal).

The National Symposium on Organic Farming for Farmers’ Prosperity was jointly organized by Ekalavya Foundation, National Institute of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj and ICAR-Central Research Institute for Dryland Agriculture at NIRD & PR, Hyderabad during 19-20th March 2016.

A training programme  on “Oilseeds for farming systems” was organized (29-30th March, 2016) at ICAR-IIFSR, Modipuram, Meerut under the scheme of FLD on Oilseeds for the activities of cropping/farming systems involving oilseeds other than groundnut.

19 - 21st April, 2016, North Sikkim

ICAR Research Complex for North Eastern Hill Region, Sikkim Centre organized three-day training programme on organic crop production (19 - 21st April, 2016) at Ringhim, Mangan, North Sikkim to increase awareness and strengthen the progressive tribal farmers on organic crop production by dissemination of scientific knowledge along with input support system under Tribal Sub Plan (TSP).

5th May 2016, Aizawl, Mizoram

ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region, Mizoram Centre organized brainstorming session ,”Climate resilient technologies for improving livelihood Improvement of farmers of Mizoram” under National Mission for sustainable Hill Ecosystem (Task Force 6) funded by Department of Science and Technology, Government. of India here today.

Training-cum-awareness programme on protection of plant varieties and farmers’ right Act (PPV&FRA), 2001 was organized by Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Baramulla at Chatoosa village in boarder area of Rafiabad in Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir on 15th  March 2016.
