Reports on Capacity Building

A three-day (6-8 Jan 2016) orientation course on ‘IPM in Important Crops with special reference to Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra and Telangana’ was jointly organised by the ICAR-National Research Centre for Integrated Pest Management (NCIPM), New Delhi and ICAR-ATARI Zone-V, Hyderabad at Hyderabad.

A National Workshop on Feed and Feed Technologies for Responsible Aquaculture was organized at ICAR-Central Institute of Freshwater Aquaculture, Bhubaneswar during 18-19 November 2015.

A one-day training programme on “Improved Wheat Production Technologies” was organized at Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Sirohi, Rajasthan on March 26, 2015 for capacity building of Branch Post Masters and  farmers under innovative IARI – Post Office Linkage Extension Model.

A Training cum demonstration programme on “Production of Improved Quality Dried Fish using Solar Dryer “was organized at Veraval Research Centre of ICAR-Central Institute of Fisheries Technology, Cochin during 9-12 February 2015. The beneficiary of the training was tribal fisherfolk from “Bharat Adim Juth Matsyadhyog Sahkari Mandali”, a society formed for the welfare of “Siddi tribes from Talala region near Veraval, Gujarat. The training was organized under Tribal Sub-Plan (TSP).

ICAR-Central Institute of Fisheries Technology, Cochin  and Society of Fisheries Technologists (India), Cochin jointly organized one-day National seminar on "Seaweeds: A Source of Nutraceuticals, Healthcare Products and New Materials-Future Perspectives" at ICAR-CIFT, Kochi on 9th February 2017.

Conservation was organized at ICAR-Indian Institute of Soil and Water Conservation, Dehradun during 1-3 February, 2017. The farmers represented three blocks Khirsu, Pavo and Kalzi Khasa and 17 villages of Pauri Garhwal district. The training was sponsored by ATMA, Pauri Garhwal, Uttarakhand. During inauguration, Dr. PK Mishra, Director motivated the farmers to conserve the soil and water for sustainable agriculture. He said that our survival is only possible by judicious use of natural resources.

Mr Satish Lendhe and Mrs Priyanka Lendhe from Flora Nursery, the Chief Guest of Swachhata Workshop on ‘Beautification and Kitchen Waste Management’, organized by National Research Centre on Grapes,  focused on different types of indoor and outdoor plants and their maintenance.

ICAR-ATARI, Zone-I, Ludhiana organized a workshop on Cluster frontline demonstrations on Pulses and Oilseeds for the KVKs of Zone-I on 23-24 January 2017 at PAU, Ludhiana.

ICAR-Agricultural Technology Application Research, Jodhpur organised a two-day training programme for Nodal Officers of Krishi Vigyan Kendras under National Mission on Oilseeds & Oil Palm (NMOOP) during 27-28th January 2017.
