Reports on Capacity Building

A field day-cum-training was organized by ICAR-Indian Institute of Oilseeds Research, Hyderabad in Patherched village, Narwa Mandal, Mahabubnagar district on 2nd Feb. 2018. The district is one of the potential districtsfor cultivation of oilseeds (castor, groundnut and sesame).  The programme started with the field visit of staff of agricultural department, farmers, scientistists and the press. Followed by a training session on “Improved technologies for increasing the income of oilseed farmers”.

The ICAR-Central Institute for Subtropical Horticulture, Lucknow in collaboration with Center for Agriculture and Rural Development (CARD) organized a one-day seminar Horti-entrepreneurship on 19 January, 2018.

ICAR-Central Institute on Fisheries Education, Mumbai organized a Training programme on “Cage Farming” for the farmers of Nandurbar, Maharashtra under TSP during 18th to 20th January, 2018.

Shri Upendra Tiwari, Minister for Land and Water Resource (independent charge),  Govt. of Uttar Pradesh,  inaugurated training-cum-workshop on Fish Culture-cum-Horticulture (23-27 January, 2018) organised by ICAR-National Bureau of Fish Genetic Resources, Lucknow.

The ICAR-Central Institute for Subtropical Horticulture, Lucknow under the aegis of Precision Farming Development Centre (PFDC) is conducting Skill Development Training (15 January to 14 February, 2018) as per the guidelines of Agriculture Skill Council of India for Greenhouse Operators at its experimental farm of the Institute at Rehmankhera.

Training and orientation course on ICT based e-Pest surveillance and advisory services for rice farmers of Tripura during Boro 2018 was jointly organised by the ICAR-National Research Centre for Integrated Pest Management, New Delhi and Department of Agriculture, Tripura on 16th January 2018 for newly engaged Pest scout and Data entry Operator at Pragna Bhawan

Dr.Trilochan Mohapatra , Secretary (DARE) & Director General (ICAR) inaugurated the second International symposium of the Societal Applications in Fisheries and Aquaculture using Remote Sensing Imagery (SAFARI-2) at the ICAR- Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute,Kochitoday.

A 21-day ICAR sponsored winter school on “Enhancing Farm Income through Entrepreneurship Development in Fishing and Fish Processing” (5-25 January, 2018)  was inaugurated at ICAR-Central Institute of Fisheries Technology, Cochin on 5th January, 2018. Dr. K.

107th Foundation Course for Agricultural Research Service (FOCARS) commenced on 4th January 2018 in ICAR-National Academy of Agricultural Research & Management, Hyderabad.
