Training on crop diversification and quality fruit production was organized by ICAR-Central Institute of Temperate Horticulture, Srinagar under NMSHE-TF-6 project in collaboration with Regional Research Station, ICAR-Central Arid Zone Research Institute, Leh for the framers of Nimoo and Ranbir Thiksey villages of Leh on 14th and 15th July 2017 respectively.

A 15-day National training on Sugarcane Management and Development was organized at ICAR-Indian Institute of Sugarcane Research, Lucknow on July 01-15, 2017.

ICAR-Central Arid Zone Research Institute (CAZRI) Regional Research Station at Leh is engaged in enhancing capacity development of farmers of cold arid region in six villages of Leh district of Ladakh region under Tribal Sub-Plan (TSP).

The ICAR-National Institute of Abiotic Stress Management, Baramati, Pune organized two-days Workshop on “Challenges and Opportunities in Sugarcane Cultivation under Changing Climatic Scenario” for sugarcane growers.

A five-day hands-on training programme on “Soil and Water Health in Brackishwater Aquaculture” was conducted ICAR - Central Institute of Brackishwater Aquaculture (CIBA), Chennai during    20 - 24 June 2017, with a view to develop the skills on improving the health of soil and water for sustainable brackishwater aquaculture.

A one-day workshop on “Importance of vegetables and modern cultivation techniques” was organized by ICAR-Indian Institute of Vegetable Research, Varanasi on 30th June 2017atAnganwadi campus of the Kakrahya village, Varanasi. Kakrahiya is newly addpoted village of Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi.

With a view to popularize the importance of soil test based balanced fertilizer application with STCR approach among the farmers, a skill development programme was organized under the aegis of ICAR sponsored AICRP-STCR at Manikyammaguda of Ranga Reddy district, Telangana state.
