Training on ‘New frontiers in Biotic Stress Management for doubling farmers income’ inaugurated

In the backdrop of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s appeal for doubling farmer’s income by 2022, a 10-days short course training programme on “New Frontiers of biotic stress management for doubling the farmer’s income” was inaugurated at ICAR-National institute of Biotic Stress management, Raipur on 11 September, 2017. At the outset, Dr. Anil Dixit, Course Director informed the audience that the Government of India has prepared a blue print on seven point strategies to double farmer’s income by 2022.

ICAR-CMFRI trains young researchers to manage endangered marine species

Tuticorin Research Centre of ICAR-Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute organised a one-day training programme on ‘Identification of marine fauna with special reference to Endangered, Threatened and Protected Species (ETPs)’ to the post-graduate students from different colleges in and around Thoothukudi district on 8th August 2017.

National training programme on seed testing

A five-day Special National Training Programme on "Advancement of Seed Testing" was inaugurated at ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region, Manipur Centre, Imphal on 7th August, 2017. The aim of the training programme is to impart advance knowledge in the field of seed testing to the participants.

The training was inaugurated by Shri Y. Joykumar Singh, Deputy Chief Minister of Manipur as Chief Guest. Dr. Suhel Akhtar, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary, Manipur; Er. M. G. Viswakarma, NSRTC, Varanasi graced the event as Guests of Honour.
