DG, ICAR inaugurates Agro-ecotourism Unit at ICAR-Central Coastal Agricultural Research Institute, Old Goa

Dr.Trilochan Mohapatra , Secretary (DARE) & Director General (ICAR) inaugurated the Agro-ecotourism Unit atICAR-Central Coastal Agricultural Research Institute, Old Goa today.During an interactionwith staff and scientists of the Institute, he emphasized on the need to develop a database on the coastal agriculture.He also inaugurated the ‘Poultry parent and brooder shed’ facility developed by ICAR-Directorate of Poultry Research, Hyderabad. A foundation stone of the ‘Central Instrumentation Facility’ was also laid by the DG.Dr. S K Chaudhari, Assistant Director General (SWM) was also present on the occasion.

Dr. E.B Chakurkar, Director, ICAR-CCARI, Old Goa briefed about the recent achievements of the Institute.

Dr. R N Chatterjee, Director, ICAR-DPR, Hyderabad elaborated about the newly created facility.

Seven publications were released by the dignitaries during the programme.
