Shri Sanjay Kumar Singh, I.A.S., Additional Secretary (DARE) & Secretary (ICAR) visited the ICAR-National Academy of Agricultural Research Management, Hyderabad today.
W
hile interacting with 110th FOCARS probationers, he stressed on the need for a framework to convert the research to the field level applications. Shri Singh emphasized on communicating research findings to the farmers in the regional languages by effectively utilizing the visual aids in the form of videos relevant to major farm-related problems and solutions. Highlighting on climate research and stress management, he emphasized on concentrating the research on nutrition security issues. He urged the young scientists for keeping themselves motivated throughout the service by pursuing the research in the pioneer areas, benefiting the farming community.

hri Singh interacted with the directors, administrative and finance officers of ICAR Institutes located at Hyderabad. He suggested for concentrating on Business Incubation Centres in ICAR.
Shri Singh also interacted with ICAR Pensioners at Hyderabad and discussed about the pensioner’s issues including monthly Pension Adalat.
Dr. Ch. Srinivas Rao, Director, ICAR-NAARM highlighted that the FOCARS course has been designed for transforming the student researchers into professional researchers with emphasis on the development of project proposals, scientific writing, ethics at work and positive thinking. He briefed about the new interventions in the FOCARS training including the panel discussion with ICAR-Lal Bahadur Shastri Outstanding Young Scientist Award Winners.
The Directors of various ICAR Institutes namely - ICAR-IIRR, ICAR-IIMR, ICAR-IIOR, ICAR-PDP, ICAR-NRC on Meat, ICAR-CRIDA, ICAR-ATARI and ICAR-NAARM, etc., outlined the activities of their respective Institutes.
