The ICAR-National Research Centre on Camel, Bikaner, Rajasthan organized the “Scientists’-Farmers’-Interaction Meet” and “Animal Health Camps under Scheduled Caste Sub Plan” at Camel Dominated Areas - Sanwta, Samb and Dabri Villages in Jaisalmer District, Rajasthan from 8th to 9th December, 2021.

In his address, Dr. Artabandhu Sahoo, Director, ICAR-NRC on Camel, Bikaner stated that in the changing environment, animal husbandry can get maximum production from livestock by adopting the latest techniques generated in the animal husbandry business. He also stressed on organizing the Livestock Fairs / Festivals, etc., to promote the sustenance of socio-economic livelihood and conserve the important species in the region.

Shri Salim Khan Member, Panchayat Samiti and Shri Khairuddin, Progressive Livestock Farmer emphasized on the need for educating the farmers through such camps and motivating the youths for taking-up the livestock related business.
The event registered participation by 229 farmers from Sanwta, Sam and Dabri Villages.
