Minister of Fisheries, Govt. of West Bengal visits Kakdwip Research Center of ICAR-CIBA

Shri. Biplab Roy Chowdhury, Minister of Fisheries, Govt. of West Bengal visited Kakdwip Research Center of ICAR-Central Institute Brackishwater Aquaculture, Chennai today.

The Minister witnessed the ongoing activities such as pond reared Hilsa broodstock developed at the Centre besides various resources and facilities available at the centre.

Later, he also interacted with scientists working at the centre and expressed his satisfaction over the research achievements of the institute in the state.

Dr. Debasis De, Officer-in-Charge, KRC-CIBA briefed the research activities of the centre and its importance for the eastern region of the country.
