Field Level Demonstration on Retting Accelerator NINFET-Sathi

ICAR-National Institute of Natural Fibre Engineering & Technology organised a field level Demonstration-cum-Input distribution programme on NINFET-Sathi at Charpanpara and at Khounishnagar village of Santipur block, Nadia district, West Bengal today under Scheduled Caste Sub-Plan schemes in collaboration with Nadia Organic FPC.

Er. H. Baite, Scientist, TOT Division briefed about the retting accelerator technology i.e., NINFET-Sathi, its application method & dozes, its benefits in terms of quality of fibre, saving of time, enhancement of jute grade, less water requirement and ecofriendly. He also briefed about power ribboner and decorticator machine.

Mr. G. Sardar, TO speaks about the various grading parameters, grading instrument and quality evaluation of jute fibre.
