Vigilance Awareness Week begins at ICAR-CRIDA

As part of the Vigilance Awareness Week being observed from 27 October to 02 November, 2025, Dr V K Singh, Director, ICAR-Central Research Institute for Dryland Agriculture, Hyderabad administered an integrity pledge to the staff of the institute.

Dr Singh emphasised the need for being vigilant in all spheres of the institute’s activities towards ensuring efficiency and transparency in utilizing the resources.

All staff of ICAR-CRIDA including the Scientists, Technical, Administrative and Supporting categories took the pledge.

The theme of the vigilance awareness week, “Vigilance: Our Shared Responsibility”, reflects the responsibility of all the stakeholders to be judicious and to comply with the principles and procedures of utilizing public resources in spirit and letter.

Different activities are being taken up during the week to raise awareness about vigilance. Observance of Vigilance Awareness Week is one of the tools used by the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) to bring together all stakeholders collectively to participate in the prevention of, and the fight against corruption and to raise public awareness regarding the existence, causes and gravity of and the threat posed by corruption.
