Overview

The Department of Agricultural Research and Education (DARE) coordinates and promotes agricultural research & education in the country. DARE provides the necessary government linkages for the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), a National Coordinating Platform and the premier research organisation for co-ordinating, guiding and managing research and education in agriculture and allied areas in the entire country.

To plan, promote and coordinate agricultural education in the country.
To enhance the quality and relevance of higher agricultural education in the country.
To strengthen the Agricultural University system for developing quality human resource in agriculture and allied sciences.
