Report on Campaign for Balanced Use of Fertilizers under ICAR-ATARI Zone X, Hyderabad

Under the Intensive Campaign on Balanced Use of Fertilisers coordinated by ICAR-Agricultural Technology Application Research Institute, Zone X, Hyderabad, awareness and extension activities were conducted today across 8 KVKs covering major districts of Andhra Pradesh.

A total of 2 awareness programmes were organized benefitting 41 farmers, along with 1 training programme covering 40 farmers. KVK scientists also reached farmers through WhatsApp, Facebook, X, wall writings, and other social media platforms, achieving a total digital outreach of 1,00,004 farmers, while 90 farmers were covered through direct physical contact and field-level interactions.

Demonstrations on biofertilizer use (1) and other balanced nutrient management practices (2) were also conducted to promote sustainable fertiliser use and soil health management among farming communities.
Under the Intensive Campaign on Balanced Use of Fertilisers coordinated by ICAR–ATARI, Zone X, Hyderabad, extensive awareness and extension activities were conducted on 24.05.2026 across 72 KVKs covering Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, and Puducherry.

A total of 2 awareness programmes benefiting 64 farmers and 1 training programme covering 40 farmers were organized. KVK scientists disseminated technical advisories and campaign messages through WhatsApp, Facebook, X, and other social media platforms, achieving a substantial digital outreach of 1,00,324 farmers, while 113 farmers were covered through direct physical contact and field-level interactions.

Demonstrations on biofertilizer use and other balanced nutrient management practices were also conducted to promote sustainable fertiliser use and soil health management among farming communities. Overall, the campaign strengthened farmer awareness on balanced fertiliser application and scientific nutrient management practices under ICAR–ATARI Zone X, Hyderabad.
