The ICAR-Agricultural Technology Application Institution and ICAR-Directorate of Floricultural Research, Pune organized a training program for “Developing Entrepreneurship in Floriculture” at Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Baramati from 23rd to 25th January - 2019.
The innovative training methods and simulation games were used during the training programme. The entrepreneurial motivation of trainees was enhanced through experiential learning based group work.
The trainees presented cost-benefit economics of three floriculture enterprises viz., Commercial Marigold Production, Rose Water Production and Protected Cultivation of Rose.
Dr. Lakhan Singh, Director, ICAR-ATARI, Pune; Dr. K.V. Prasad, Director, ICAR-DFR, Pune along with other officials from various institutes of ICAR shared their expert views on floriculture.
A total of 25 trainees from Maharashtra and Gujarat attended the program.
