Under the Intensive Awareness Campaign on Balanced Use of Fertilisers coordinated by ICAR-Agricultural Technology Application Research Institute, Zone X, Hyderabad extensive extension and awareness activities were conducted today across eight major DAP-consuming districts through 8 Krishi Vigyan Kendras. A total of 6 awareness programmes covering 288 farmers were organized, along with one Kisan Gosthi involving 82 farmers, one training programme benefiting 78 farmers, and interface meetings involving 35 participants.

Demonstrations on balanced nutrient management practices, including green manuring and biofertilizer use, were also conducted across the districts. The campaign achieved a substantial outreach with 606 farmers covered through direct physical contact and field interactions, while social media platforms such as WhatsApp, Facebook, X, and other digital media reached 1,21,802 farmers. In addition, 93 wall writings/posters and several field-level extension activities were undertaken to strengthen awareness on scientific and balanced fertiliser application among farmers under the coordinated efforts of ICAR–ATARI Zone X, Hyderabad.
Under the Intensive Awareness Campaign on Balanced Use of Fertilisers coordinated by ICAR–ATARI Zone X, extensive awareness and extension activities were conducted on 25.05.2026 across 72 Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs) covering Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, and Puducherry. A total of 17 awareness programmes benefiting 700 farmers were organized, along with 2 Kisan Gosthi/Field Day programmes covering 44 farmers, 2 training programmes involving 104 farmers, and interface meetings with 35 participants.

Demonstrations on green manuring, biofertilizer application, and other balanced nutrient management practices were also conducted across the participating districts. The campaign achieved a massive outreach through digital platforms including WhatsApp, Facebook, X, and other social media channels, reaching 1,41,349 farmers, while 1,160 farmers were covered through direct physical contact, KVK visits, and field-level interactions. In addition, wall writings, posters, and field demonstrations were extensively utilized to promote scientific and balanced fertiliser use, thereby strengthening farmer awareness on sustainable nutrient management practices under the coordinated guidance of ICAR–ATARI Zone X, Hyderabad.
