ICAR-Central Research Institute for Dryland Agriculture organized an intensive awareness campaign on Soil Health Management and Balanced Fertilizer Use at Mall Gram Panchayat in Yacharam Mandal of Rangareddy district, Telangana, under the Mera Gaon Mera Gaurav (MGMG) programme.
During the programme, emphasis was laid on the importance of soil test-based balanced fertilization and the need for judicious use of fertilizers for sustaining soil health and enhancing crop productivity. Farmers were cautioned against the excessive use of urea and DAP due to their adverse effects on soil health, crop productivity, and input costs.

The participating farmers were encouraged to adopt seed treatment and soil application of suitable bio-fertilizers as part of sustainable agricultural practices. Experts also advised farmers to incorporate organic and green manures under Integrated Nutrient Management (INM) approaches for maintaining long-term soil fertility and promoting sustainable agriculture.
Around 50 farmers participated in the campaign.
