ICAR–Indian Institute of Soil and Water Conservation, Dehradun, organized the valedictory function of a short-term training program on the theme “Soil and Water Conservation Techniques and Drainage Line Treatment” from June 2 to 4, 2026. This program was designed for officers and staff sponsored by the Divisional Forest Officer (Land Conservation), Chakrata Forest Division, of the Uttarakhand Forest Department.
Certificates were awarded to a total of 20 officers and staff members from the Chakrata Forest Division upon the successful completion of this course. The primary objective of this course was to enhance technical knowledge and practical skills regarding soil and water conservation measures within forest areas.

Addressing the trainee officers and staff, the Head of the Human Resource Development and Social Sciences Division, stated that this training has provided both a theoretical understanding and field-level experience regarding soil and water conservation techniques in forest areas, drainage line treatment, and participatory schemes, thereby enabling the trainees to effectively implement these learning in their respective fields of work.
The closing function concluded with the distribution of certificates to the trainees.
