The student ideation program Aggnite 6.0, launched on April 13, 2026, concluded with a week-long bootcamp organised by a-IDEA, ICAR– National Academy of Agricultural Research Management, Hyderabad today.
Out of total 543 applications/business ideas received from the students across the country, top 10 promising team were selected for the Bootcamp of Aggnite 6.0. Held from August 25 to 31, 2026, the bootcamp offered expert mentoring, interactive sessions and hands-on learning to strengthen their entrepreneurial capabilities. The student innovators presented their ideas before an expert jury and received feedback to refine and further develop their ventures.

Delivering the presidential address, Dr R.M. Sundaram, Director, ICAR–NAARM and President, a-IDEA motivated the students to become entrepreneurs and assured all kind of support from a-IDEA & ICAR-NAARM. He highlighted the meaningful innovation should be affordable, accessible, ethical, inclusive and accountable. He urged students to develop competence, credibility, character, and integrity, and encouraged them to pursue mentorship, collaboration, and partnerships beyond financial investment.

Dr Ranjit Kumar, CEO, a-IDEA and Principal Scientist, ICAR–NAARM, highlighted the programme’s key activities and outcomes and offered incubation support to the innovators through a-IDEA’s incubation and accelerator programmes.
Dr Umakanta Choudhury, Director, Innovation and Incubation, CBIT, emphasised the importance of innovation validation and intellectual property protection during his interaction with the innovators-students.
