Annual Review meeting of ICAR-Consortia Research Platform (CRP) on Vaccines and Diagnostics is inaugurated at ICAR-Indian Veterinary Research Institute, Bengaluru campus today.


Dr. H. Rahman, Deputy Director General (Animal Science), ICAR in his presidential address emphasized that the individual project in CRP should aim to develop the technologies/products, by inter-sectoral collaboration and should be made available at the farmers field for immediate testing and intervention.
Dr. R.K. Singh, Director-cum-Vice Chancellor, ICAR-IVRI, Bareilly in his inaugural address stressed that maximizing the aim/objective of the consortium mode will be fulfilled only if principal investigators of the project communicate effectively between livestock, fisheries and agriculture component.
Dr. Ashok Kumar, ADG (Animal Health), ICAR, New Delhi, talked about the commitment made by ICAR in developing the vaccines and diagnostics in association with industry partners.
Dr.B. P. Sreenivasa, Programme Coordinator, CRP on Vaccine and Diagnostics presented the overview of the project.
About 46 scientists, from different ICAR institutes across the country, are participating in the two day annual review meeting.
