Phase - II of NICRA-TDC launched in the States of Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep

The ICAR-Agricultural Technology Application Research Institute, Bengaluru, Karnataka organized the “NICRA Phase - II Launching-cum-Annual Review - 2021-22 and Annual Action Plan - 2022-23 Workshop” from 13^th to 14^th June, 2022.

The Workshop was organized in collaboration with the ICAR-Central Research Institute for Dryland Agriculture, Hyderabad.

Dr. Vinod Kumar Singh, Director, ICAR-CRIDA, Hyderabad launched the implementation of the Phase - II of the NICRA in the Krishi Vigyan Kendras of ICAR-ATARI, Bengaluru.

Dr. V. Venkatasubramanian, Director, ICAR-ATARI, Bengaluru stressed on the need for the initiatives in creating the marketing avenues and strengthening the infrastructure facilities for the value-addition towards the realization of good prices of farmers’ products.

The potential technologies of the State Agricultural Universities were highlighted by the Directors of Extension of KAU, Kerala; KSUAHS, Shivamogga and University of Agricultural Sciences, Bengaluru besides, the presentations by the ICAR-IIHR, Bengaluru; ICAR-IISR, Kozhikode, Kerala and ICAR-CTCRI, Thiruvananthapuram as a part of the technology backstopping to NICRA KVKs.

A total of 14 KVKs of Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep participated and presented their Progress Reports (2021-22) and Action Plan (2022-23).
