On-campus Training and Exposure Visit of Farmers to ICAR-CAZRI organized under SCSP

Three on-campus trainings of one-day duration each were organized on 7th, 8th and 12th September, 2022 at ICAR- Central Arid Zone Research Institute, Jodhpur under SCSP.

Dr. O. P. Yadav, Director, CAZRI, highlighted the innovative research and extension activities undertaken by the institute for addressing the arid region issues comprehensively.

Three hundred farmers from Utambar, Balarwa, Dudhabera, Bhatelai, Lunawas Kalan, Sar and Sinli villages in Jodhpur district were benefitted from these programmes.

Exposure visits were organized to different research and demonstration units at CAZRI research farm. Farmers were also exposed to emerging fruit crops such as fig and kamalam (dragon fruit). Various interactive lectures and practical sessions on soil testing, weather based agro-advisory services and plant protection measures were also organized.
