9–12 March 2026, Hisar
ICAR North Zone Sports Tournament was successfully organized by the ICAR–Central Institute for Research on Buffaloes, Hisar, from 9 - 12 March 2026. The four-day tournament witnessed enthusiastic participation from 21 ICAR institutes across the North Zone. Additionally, ICAR–Central Institute of Fisheries Education, Mumbai, participated on a rotation basis.
The tournament was inaugurated by Prof. B. R. Kamboj, Vice-Chancellor, Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar.

The Guest of Honour, Ms Ekta Bhyan, Paralympian, motivated participants by highlighting the importance of discipline, determination, and sportsmanship.
Dr. T. K. Bhattacharya, Director, ICAR–CIRB, welcomed the dignitaries and participants at the उद्घाटन ceremony.
Participants showcased their skills across a wide range of sports and athletic events. The Overall Championship Trophy was won by ICAR–Indian Institute of Soil and Water Conservation, Dehradun.
The valedictory ceremony on 12 March was graced by Dr Rahul Narwal, Deputy Commissioner, Hansi, who congratulated the winners and appreciated the efforts of ICAR–CIRB in successfully organizing the event.

The tournament concluded with a prize distribution ceremony, fostering sportsmanship, teamwork, and camaraderie among ICAR institutes.
A total of 858 participants competed in 40 sporting events.
