Shri Suresh Chandel visits ICAR-IISS, Bhopal

Shri Suresh Chandel, former Member of Parliament and Member, Governing Body, ICAR visited ICAR-Indian Institute of Soil Science, Bhopal today. Shri Chandel applauded the scientists of the Institute for their remarkable contributions and advised the Institute scientists to develop a simple tool for use by the consumers to detect pesticide and other harmful contaminants in fruits and vegetables. He also expressed the need for more funds in agricultural research for enhancing output of research organizations for the benefit of farmers. After the interaction meeting, he also visited laboratories of all the Divisions and interacted with scientists on ongoing research programmes.
