The facility has been designed, fabricated and installed by Division of Agricultural Engineering, ICAR-IARI, New Delhi. The foot operated Smart Hand Wash System enables washing of hands using liquid soap without touching the soap dispenser and the water tap. The sensor based sanitization tunnel uses Quaternary Ammonium Compounds (QAC) at a concentration of 0.04 % for full body fogging of the person passing through tunnel for a period of 10 second.

The first step of the sanitizing Tunnel is thermal scanning followed by hand wash and tunnel sanitization. This helps sanitizing the person and protect from Virus. This facility has been installed at the Todapur gate of the Institute. Persons entering through this gate have to go through the facility and to protect them from menace of COVID-19 and help to save others from this pandemic.
