Shri Radha Mohan Singh, Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare released Kalpa Bar Chocolate on the Concluding Ceremony of Centenary of ICAR-CPCRI and Kisan Mela here today.

Panchayath, Kasaragod,Shri Sathishchandra, President CAMPCO, Shri P.R. Muralidharan, Member, Coconut Development Board, Shri P. Pradeep, Principal Agricultural Officer, Department of Agriculture, Kasaragod graced the occassion.
Kalpa Bar Chocolate is jointly developed by the CPCRI Kasaragod and CAMPCO. This is a first chocolate of its kind, made from coconut sugar. Kalpa Bar has a homogeneous blend of coconut sugar and fine cocoa. It does not contain any added artificial ingredients. The coconut sugar used is a natural caramel sweetener from the sap of coconut inflorescence.It has low glycemic index, rich in essential amino acids, electrolytes - Na and K, micro nutrients - iron and zinc, abundant in Vitamin E, B and C and a good source of antioxidants.
