A ten-day ICAR Sponsored Short course on “Reshaping Agriculture and Nutrition Linkages for Food and Nutrition Security” (17-26 November 2016)was inaugurated   ICAR-Central Research Institute of Dryland Agriculture, Hyderabadtoday.

A Model Training Course (MTC) on “Small Scale Entrepreneurial Ventures to Boost Income of Farmers’ was organized at ICAR-Central Arid Zone Research Institute, Jodhpur during  1– 8 November, 2016. This training was sponsored by the Directorate of Extension, Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare, GOI, New Delhi.

ICAR-Central Inland Fisheries Research Institute, Barrackpore organized a fish health awareness camp under National Aquatic Surveillance Programme on Aquatic Animal Diseases and Mera Gaon Mera Gaurav programme at Bantala village in East Kolkata Wetland area in collaboration with Department of Fisheries, Govt. of West Bengal today.

A Workshop on “Horticulture Development for Sub-Himalayan Terai Region” and “Kisan Mela -2016” was organized by ICAR-Central Plantation Crops Research Institute, Kasargod at Research Centre, Mohitnagar, Jalpaiguri, West Bengal during October 20-21, 2016 as part of the celebrations of 100 years of coconut research.

A “Brain Storming Session-cum-Interaction Meet on Engineering Interventions for Production and Processing of Horticultural Crops” was organised at ICAR-Central Institute of Agricultural Engineering, Bhopal from 24-25 October, 2016.

A Three days’ Orientation Training Programme for KVK’s Trainers under Skill Development Programme for Master Trainers of 24 KVKs from Rajasthan, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh and Gurgaon is being organised in collaboration with Agricultural Skill Council of India (ASCI) by ICAR-Agricultural Technology Application Research Institute (ATARI), Jodhpur.

ICAR-Agricultural Technology Application Research Institute, Jodhpur organised a two-day Zonal Workshop-cum-training programme (24-25 October 2016) on Production Technology of Pulse Crops for 57 Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs) of Rajasthan and Gujarat states at ICAR-CAZRI, Jodhpur (Rajasthan).
