Field day-cum-capacity building programme for Soligas Tribe

2nd June 2016, Ponnachi,Karnataka

A field day-cum-capacity building programme was organized at Ponnachi village of Male Mahadeshwara Hills (popularly called MM Hills) of Chamarajnagar district of Karnataka to popularize the importance of soil test based fertilizer application for improving crop productivity among tribal farmers today. The programme was jointly organised by four ICAR AICRPs, viz., STCR, LTFE, Soil Arthropod Pests and Potential Crops as well as UAS, Bengaluru.

Training on Carbon sequestration and GHG measurement in IFS models of AICRP on Integrated Farming Systems

A three-day training on “Carbon sequestration and greenhouse gas (GHG) emission measurement in IFS models of AICRP on Integrated Farming Systems” was organized by ICAR-Indian Institute of Farming Systems Research (IIFSR), Modipuram in collaboration with ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi during 2-4th August, 2016.

Training on "Fish Processing and Value Addition"

ICAR-Central Institute of Fisheries Technology (CIFT), Cochin organized a 3-day hands on training programme on “Fish Processing and Value Addition” during 3-5 August, 2016. The objective of the programme was to impart skill-based training to the members of various cooperatives on different aspects of fish processing technologies related to production of value added quality fish products from freshwater resources and their preservation.

Training Programme on Preservation Methods of Microorganisms

trainning-16082016ICAR-National Bureau of Agriculturally Important Microorganisms, Mau organised a 10-day training programme on “Microbial Culture Handling and Maintenance” (2-11 August, 2016) for ‘Technical Personnel’ working at different Institutes of the ICAR in order to extend expertise for handling and maintenance of microorganisms in repositories and laboratories.
