Winter School on “Recent Advances in IPM” was inaugurated by Chief Guest, Dr.Gurbachan Singh, Chairman, Agricultural Scientists Recruitment Board on 26th February  2015 at ICAR-National Centre for Integrated Pest Management, New Delhi . Dr C. Chattopadhyay, Director NCIPM chaired the function and Dr. P.K. Chakrabarty, Assistant Director General (PP) was the Guest of Honour.

An one day training and awareness program on the Protection of Plant Varieties and Farmers’ Rights Act, 2001 (PPV&FR) was organized at Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Krishi Vishwavidyalaya (RVSKVV), Jhabua, Madhya Pradesh for the farmers of different  villages of Jhabua.

A training programme on “Biochemical Techniques for Fish Quality Analysis” was organized at Veraval Research of ICAR-Central Institute of Fisheries Technology, Cochin during 13-19  February, 2015.

3rd Winter Student Workshop on Natural Resins and Gums was organized by Transfer of Technology Division, ICAR-Indian Institute of Natural Resins and Gums, Ranchi during 16-28 February, 2015. Eleven Postgraduate students of Forestry from Guru Ghasidas Central University, Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh participated in the workshop.

ICAR-Central Rice Research Institute (ICAR-CRRI), Cuttack observed “Farm Innovators Day and BGREI Scientists-Farmers Interaction Meet” on 27th January, 2015 in its premhere today. Apart from central and state government officials, the programme was attended by over 250 innovative / progressive farmers and state department officers from 29 districts of Odisha.

ICAR-Central Research Institute of Dryland Agriculture, Hyderabad organized 8-day capacity development program for KVK Staff in four batches during 19-31 January, 2015 in which 205 participants including Program Coordinators, Subject Mater Specialists and research fellows from 100 NICRA-KVKs in eight Zonal Project Directorates (ZPDs) implementing Technology Demonstration Component (TDC) under the National Initiative on Climate Resilient Agriculture (NICRA) project participated.

The annual group meeting of All India Network Research Project on Onion & Garlic (AINRPOG) was organized by ICAR-Directorate of Onion and Garlic Research, Rajgurunagar, Pune and the University of Agriculture and Horticulture Sciences, Shivamogga at Davengere, Karnataka during 6-7th February, 2015.

A  three-day awareness-cum-workshop on fish milt cryopreservation technology was organized by ICAR-Central Institute on Fisheries Education, Mumbai at Department of Fisheries, Mizoram, Aizawl from 5-7^th February, 2015.
