The 33rd Workshop of AICRP on Farm Implements and Machinery was held at Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidhyapith (MPKV), Rahuri during January 8-10, 2019

In his inaugural address, Dr. K.P. Vishwanatha, Vice Chancellor, MPKV, Rahuri emphasized on the need to collaborate with scientists of other sister disciplines in delivering the sustainable mechanization solution. He also stressed on the need to promote small tools and equipments for fulfilling the immediate need of farm families.

ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region, Sikkim Centre, Tadong, Gangtok  initiated 10-day (March 16-25, 2015) training programme on Agro-Ecological Approaches for Sustainable Mountain Farming under Changing Climatic Scenario under the aegis of  National Initiative on Climate Resilient Agriculture (NICRA) project. This programme is being organized with the aim to acquaint teachers / researchers /extension personnel about adaptation and mitigation strategies for managing emerging environmental problems for enhancing sustainability of mountain agriculture.

A five days short training programme on ‘Soil & Water Conservation and Watershed Management’ was organized at ICAR-Indian Institute of Soil and Water Conservation (IISWC), Dehradun during 6-10 April, 2015.

ICAR-Central Institute of Research on Cotton Technology, Mumbai conducted “In-country training programme on Post-harvest Management of Cotton and Value Addition to Cottonseed and Crop Residues" at Benin under Technical Assistance Programme (TAP) for development of cotton sector. It was implemented as per Second Africa-India Forum Summit (AIFS).

A 5-day USDA-training programme on Basic Veterinary Epidemiology and Outbreak Investigation jointly organized by United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), USA, Department of Animal Husbandry Dairying and Fisheries (DADF), Government of India, ICAR-National Institute of Veterinary Epidemiology and Disease Informatics (ICAR-NIVEDI), Bengaluru and Southern Regional Disease Diagnostic Laboratory (SRDDL), Bengaluru from 6-10 April, 2015.

 The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and ICAR-Central Institute of Fisheries Technology, Cochin organized an Expert Workshop on Estimating Food Loss and Wasted Resources from Gillnet and Trammel Net Fishing at Cochin during 8-10 April, 2015.

ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region, Sikkim Centre, Tadong, Gangtok organized ‘Hands on Training Programme on Oyster Mushroom Spawn Production’ for the tribal farmers of Sikkim during 17-22 April 2015.

23^rd April 2015, Kolkata

ICAR-Zonal Project Directorate, Zone-II, Kolkata organized Zonal Workshop on Technology Demonstration Component of NICRA (National Innovation on Climate Resilient Agriculture) today. Under this component, an integrated package of proven technologies would be demonstrated in one village in each district for adaptation and mitigation of the crop and livestock production systems to climate variability based on the available technologies. These activities are currently being carried out in 100 KVKs in different parts of the country.

ICAR-Indian Institute of Soil and Water Conservation (IISWC), Dehradun organized a short training programme on ‘Soil & Water Conservation and Watershed Management’ during 19-23 May, 2015 .

The ICAR-Directorate of Weed Research, Jabalpur and the Zonal Project Directorate, Zone VII, Jabalpur jointly organized a Training-cum-Workshop on Weed Management during 19-20th May, 2015 for the scientists of Krishi Vigyan Kendras from Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Odisha.
