Awareness- cum- Training programme on PPVFR Act, 2001

26th October 2023, Namakkal

Awareness-cum-Training programme on Protection of Plant Varieties and Farmers’ Rights Act, 2001 was organised by the ICAR-Central Tuber Crops Research Institute, Thiruvananthapuram at ICAR-KVK Namakkal, Tamil Nadu today for the benefit of farmers, students and other stakeholders. The programme was sponsored by PPVFR Authority, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, Government of India, New Delhi.

RAWE Programme for Agriculture Students of Jaipur National University

30th June-20th October 2023, Almora

ICAR- Vivekananda Parvatiya Krishi Anusandhan Sansthan, Almora, completed the Rural Agricultural Work Experience (RAWE) programme for students from Jaipur National University, Jaipur, Rajasthan from 30th June to 20th October 2023, imparting agricultural education and practical experience to the B.Sc. (agriculture) students of 7th semester.

NABARD supported Capacity Building for Technology Adoption (CAT) by conducting an Exposure visit and Training

Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Washim organised an exposure visit and training for goat farmers, Washim district from 16th-20th October 2023 due to climate vulnerability. This was done to encourage and inform them about innovative projects and commercial goat farming under National Academy of Agricultural Research Management, supported CAT scheme.

ICAR- National Institute of Veterinary Epidemiology and Disease Informatics, Bengaluru and ICAR- National Institute on Foot and Mouth Disease, Bhubneshwar, organised the workshop on ‘Epidemiological Approaches to Prevent and Control Transboundary Animal Diseases with a Special Focus on Zoonotic Diseases and Foot and Mouth Diseases’ from 3rd-12th October 2023, at virtual mode under the Aegis of BIMSTEC (Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multisectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation).
