With a view to popularize the importance of soil test based  balanced fertilizer application with STCR approach among the farmers, a skill development programme was organized under the aegis of ICAR sponsored AICRP-STCR at Pedda golkonda village  of Rangareddy  district, Telangana state.

To focus on the major issue of climate change and its impact of production and productivity of vegetable crops, a three-day National Conference on “Food and Nutritional Security through Vegetable Crops in Relation to Climate Change” was organized at ICAR- Indian Institute of Vegetable Research, Varanasi.

ICAR-Central Institute of Agricultural Engineering, Bhopal organized a Brain Storming Session on Recent Advances in Biomass Energy Research and Management”  on 09 November 2017. The main objective of this Brain Storming Session was to identify researchable areas and technological  interventions required for efficient utilization of crop residues for generation and utilization of biomass energy and thereby address the challenge of food, energy and environment security.

A 5-day hands on training programme on “Manufacture of jute Handicrafts” commenced on 14^th November, 2017 at KVK, Jajpur, Odisha. The training programme is sponsored under ABI- ICAR-National Institute of Research on Jute & Allied Fibre Technology, Kolkata project.

A Human Resource Development Week on "Skill and Competency Enhancement” was organized at ICAR- National Bureau of Fish Genetic Resources, Lucknow during 06-10 Nov., 2017.

9^th October, 2017, Dehradun

Four-month Certificate course on ‘Soil & Water Conservation and Watershed Management’ was inaugurated at ICAR- Indian Institute of Soil & Water Conservation, Dehradun today.

A three-day training on “Carbon sequestration and greenhouse gas (GHG) emission measurement in IFS models of AICRP on Integrated Farming Systems” was organized by ICAR-Indian Institute of Farming Systems Research (IIFSR), Modipuram in collaboration with ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi during 2-4th August, 2016.

A two-week International Training programme, “Equipment and technologies for Processing and Value-Addition to Agricultural Product at Small Scale/Rural Level” is being organized during 10-24 February, 2015 at ICAR-Central Institute of Agricultural Engineering, Bhopal for the nationals of African Asian.
