ICAR-sponsored 10 day-long Short Course on "Assessment of vulnerability and adaptation to climate change in agriculture" was inaugurated at ICAR-Central Research Institute for Dryland Agriculture, Hyderabad on 28^th November 2018.

24^TH November 2018, Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh

To mark the Golden Jubilee Year of foundation of Indian Society of Weed Science at ICAR-Directorate of Weed Research, Jabalpur, four day-long International Conference on “Weed and Society: Challenges and Opportunities” was organized at Jabalpur from 21^st to 24^th November - 2018.

ICAR-Research Complex for North Eastern Hills Region, Umiam, Meghalaya organized one day training-cum-awareness programme on Rabi maize on 27^TH November  2018 under the Project ‘‘Promoting the improved maize production technology in NEH Region’’.

The ICAR sponsored Winter School on “Climate change led biotic and abiotic stress in farm animals and amelioration using nutritional and physiological approaches” (1-21 November 2018) organized by ICAR-National Institute of Animal Nutrition and Physiology, Bangalore was inaugurated on 1^ST November – 2018.

22^ND November, 2018, CIFT

With a view to build capacity of extension, development or research personnel of different countries, the ICAR-Central Institute of Fisheries Technology organized an international training programme on “Extension Management Techniques for Up-scaling Technology Dissemination in Fisheries” from 9^TH - 22^ND November, 2018.

20^TH November, 2018, Umiam, Meghalaya

A training programme on “Freshwater aquaculture as livelihood option for tribal youths” has been inaugurated at ICAR-Central Institute of Freshwater Aquaculture, Kausalyaganga (14- 17^th November 2018). The programme is sponsored by 5/5 Gorkha Rifles (Frontier Force), Indian Army, Assam for 18 tribal youth from Assam.

The training programme on “Linking geospatial technologies and agricultural system models to assess impact of climate change on natural resource management” sponsored by National Innovations on Climate Resilient Agriculture (NICRA) and ICAR-Central Research Institute for Dryland Agriculture (CRIDA) Hyderabad was organized at ICAR-Indian Institute of Soil Sciences, Bhopal from 24^th October to 2^nd November 2018.

ICAR-Directorate of Cold Water Fisheries Research, Bhimtal, in collaboration with Department of Fisheries, Jammu & Kashmir and State Agricultural Management & Extension Training Institute (SAMETI), Jammu jointly organized three-day training programme on “Fish diseases and their management” during 30^th October to 1^st November, 2018 at SKUAST-J.

A 10 days Short Course on “Modern techniques in pig semen processing and AI” was conducted by ICAR-Central Coastal Agricultural Research Institute, Old Goa from 22nd to 31st October - 2018.
