ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute has once again demonstrated its academic excellence, with 36 of its students selected in the nationwide recruitment conducted by the Central Silk Board for 122 Scientist-B posts. Excluding the subject areas of Sericulture, Forestry, and Animal Nutrition where ICAR-IARI students were not eligible they secured over 50% of the positions in eligible disciplines. Notably the students secured all available positions in Plant Genetic Resources and Farm Machinery & Power Engineering. In addition, they claimed 11 of the 17 posts in Entomology, 3 out of 4 in Soil Science, 4 out of 7 in Genetics and Plant Breeding, and 2 out of 3 in Agricultural Statistics.

As a 120-year-old premier institution, ICAR-IARI continues to lead the nation in agricultural research, education, and human resource development. It has consistently ranked No. 1 in the National Institutional Ranking Framework and holds a strong global presence.
Congratulating the successful candidates from its New Delhi, Assam, and Jharkhand campuses, Dr. Ch. Srinivasa Rao, Director, ICAR-IARI & Vice-Chancellor expressed confidence in their future contributions, stating, “I am confident that our students will contribute meaningfully to the Central Silk Board’s mission and enhance its impact at the national level.”
