Under the Intensive Awareness Campaign on Balanced Use of Fertilisers coordinated by ICAR–Agricultural Technology Application Research Institute, Zone X, Hyderabad, extensive awareness and extension activities were conducted today across eight districts of Andhra Pradesh involving eight Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs).
A total of 7 awareness programmes were organized covering 5,309 farmers, while 5 training programmes benefited 5,216 farmers. One interface meeting involving one participant was also conducted. KVK scientists delivered 35 TV talks and one radio talk, besides disseminating technical advisories through WhatsApp, Facebook, X, and other social media platforms, reaching 2,08,805 farmers digitally.

In addition, 10,750 farmers were covered through direct physical contact, field visits, demonstrations, and extension interactions. The campaign also included 3 demonstrations on green manuring, 10 other demonstrations, wall paintings, and poster displays to promote balanced fertiliser use, soil health management, and sustainable agricultural practices. Overall, the campaign achieved a cumulative outreach of 2,19,555 farmer contacts through both physical and digital modes across the participating districts under ICAR–ATARI Zone X, Hyderabad.
Under the Intensive Awareness Campaign on Balanced Use of Fertilisers coordinated by ICAR–Agricultural Technology Application Research Institute (ATARI), Zone X, Hyderabad, extensive awareness and extension activities were conducted on 19.05.2026 across Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, and Puducherry involving 72 Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs). A total of 23 awareness programmes covering 5,812 farmers and 11 training programmes benefiting 5,425 farmers were organized, along with interface meetings and extension interactions involving participants from different stakeholder groups.

KVK scientists delivered 67 TV and radio talks and disseminated technical advisories through WhatsApp, Facebook, X, and other digital platforms, reaching 2,76,910 farmers through social media outreach. In addition, 11,631 farmers were covered through direct physical contact, field visits, demonstrations, and advisory services.
The campaign also included 13 demonstrations on green manuring, one demonstration on biofertilizers, 13 other demonstrations, wall paintings, and poster displays to promote balanced fertiliser use, soil health improvement, and sustainable agricultural practices. Overall, the campaign achieved a cumulative outreach of 2,88,541 farmer contacts through both physical and digital modes across the participating states under ICAR–ATARI Zone X, Hyderabad.
