ICAR-IIRMR, Bharatpur Inks MoU with Acharya Narendra Deva University of Agriculture & Technology, Ayodhya

ICAR–Indian Institute of Rapeseed-Mustard Research, Bharatpur, signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with Acharya Narendra Deva University of Agriculture & Technology, Ayodhya, today for the non-exclusive licensing of the rapeseed-mustard hybrid NRCHB-506.

The MoA was signed by Dr Vijay Veer Singh, Director, ICAR-IIRMR, Bharatpur, and Dr Saurabh Dixit, Director, Research, NDUAT, Ayodhya, on behalf of their respective organizations.

Addressing the gathering, Dr Vijay Veer Singh emphasized that the commercialization of high-yielding, improved varieties through public and private organizations would strengthen research and development programmes and facilitate the wider adoption of promising varieties. He highlighted that expanding the area under improved rapeseed-mustard varieties would contribute significantly to enhancing oilseed production and achieving self-sufficiency in edible oils in the country.

Officials from the PME, ITMU, and ITMC were also present on the occasion.
