Educational Visit to Kanha Shantivanam for 115th FoCARS Participants Organised

ICAR–National Academy of Agricultural Research Management, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad, organized a one-day educational and spiritual visit to Kanha Shantivanam, the headquarters of the Heartfulness Institute, today as part of the 115th Foundation Course for Agricultural Research Service (FoCARS).

The day commenced with a serene meditation session, offering participants a peaceful start and an opportunity to experience mindfulness and inner calm. This was followed by visits to various eco-friendly and sustainable facilities, including the Biochar Unit, Rainforest with Gardens, tissue culture lab and the Polyhouse for grafted horticultural crops. These visits provided valuable insights into innovative environmental and agricultural practices aligned with sustainability and holistic well-being.

A highlight of the day was the opportunity to participate in a group meditation session led by Daaji, the revered founder of the Heartfulness Institute and Kanha Shantivanam. His interaction and guidance deeply inspired the participants, emphasizing the importance of balance between professional excellence and inner peace. 
The visit, graced by Dr. Gopal Lal, Director, ICAR-NAARM, was coordinated by Dr. D. Damodar Reddy and Dr. M. Ramesh Naik, Course Coordinators of the 115th FoCARS.

Participants described the experience as peaceful, enlightening, and spiritually enriching, adding a unique dimension of self-awareness and holistic learning to their professional development journey.
